"Jewish Influencer Calls Out Jon Stewart: 'Join the Club? More Like Join the Clueless!'"
In the latest episode of social media drama, viral influencer Zach Sage Fox took Jewish comedian Jon Stewart to task for his recent remarks on "The Daily Show."
Fox, who is Jewish and not shy about it, criticized Stewart for his sardonic response to Trump's claim that Vice President Harris doesn't like Jewish people. Stewart had quipped, "Join the club, we are getting crushed out there. Right now, I'm not even sure how much we like ourselves." Talk about self-deprecating humor taken to a new level!
In a video that quickly gained traction, Fox lamented, "Jon, I get no pleasure calling you out," before adding, "As a fat little Jewish kid whose dream it was to go into political comedy, you were one of my biggest inspirations." Clearly, Fox has no problem mixing heartfelt nostalgia with a side of sass.
Fox didn't hold back, criticizing Stewart's silence following the October 7 attacks, "I began to wonder if I was wrong to idolize you as a kid," he mused, though admitting he tried not to hold Stewart to account given the collective silence of his Jewish icons.
The influencer didn't stop there, addressing Stewart's recent commentary on the Israel-Hamas conflict. "You spent months bashing Israel on 'The Daily Show,' without saying a bad word against Hamas," Fox said. "A genocidal terrorist group that would chop your head off at first handshake, regardless of whether you're a self-hating Jew."
Fox, who boasts over a million TikTok followers and a resume that includes the co-founding of Fat Camp Films, didn't mince words: "You're saying things that millions of people that is a flat out lie. Jews don't hate Jews right now. We are more united than ever."
In a true mic drop moment, Fox concluded, "We’ll find humor in horror and happiness in sorrow because that is what Jews have always done. That is what makes Jewish humor so enriching, so important for our survival and so darkly funny. So the joke is on you, Jon Leibowitz, sorry Jon Stewart, didn't mean to offend you, I know the last thing you want to be called is a Jew."
Fox has been vocal about his Zionist beliefs, creating viral content that questions the knowledge of anti-Israel protesters and even risking his safety in the West Bank. His latest call-out of Stewart might just be his most pointed performance yet.
