New developments have emerged in the investigation into the death of Johnny Wactor, the beloved "General Hospital" actor who was tragically shot while protecting a coworker in downtown Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department has released photos of three suspects believed to be involved in the fatal shooting, along with an image of the stolen vehicle they used to flee the scene. The photos, captured from grainy surveillance footage, provide a crucial lead as authorities seek the public's help in identifying the perpetrators.

One of the suspects stands out due to distinctive tattoos: one above his left eye and another on his right cheek. The vehicle used in their escape is described as a 2018 black Infiniti Q50 sedan, a detail that investigators hope will help crack the case.

Wactor, 37, was killed in the early hours of May 25 while leaving Level 8, the bar and restaurant where he worked alongside his coworker, Anita Joy. As they exited the establishment, they stumbled upon three men attempting to steal the catalytic converter from Wactor's car. Unaware of their criminal intentions, Wactor approached the group, thinking they were towing his vehicle. In a sudden turn of events, he was shot in the stomach.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Joy recounted the horrifying moment, revealing that Wactor's last act was one of bravery—shielding her from further harm. "My heart is shattered with his loss, but I believe I have gained the best guardian Angel out there," she wrote. "I love you Johnny Wacky."

Wactor's family has also spoken out, sharing memories of his courageous spirit and demanding justice for their loss. His mother, Scarlett, expressed her pride in her son's heroic final act. "I use the word hero," she said. "I'm thankful that [Joy] is OK — and that when he died, he wasn't alone." In June, friends and family of the actor marched through downtown L.A., calling for the capture of his killers.

Authorities urge anyone with information on the three suspects to contact Central Bureau Homicide Detective Howarth at (213) 996-4143 or Detective Bobadilla at (213) 996-4173. After business hours, tips can be directed to the Central Area watch commander. The pursuit of justice for Johnny Wactor continues, with hopes that the public will help bring those responsible to account.
