In a twist no soap opera could script, General Hospital actor Johnny Wactor's suspected killers have been captured in photos that are as blurry as your uncle’s Bigfoot sightings.
The Los Angeles Police Department rolled out a community alert on Sunday, showcasing three suspects in the tragic shooting of Wactor. The snapshots, taken from grainy video footage, also include their getaway ride, a 2018 black Infiniti Q50 sedan—because even criminals have a taste for luxury.
The police are requesting the public’s eagle eyes to help identify these pixelated perps, one of whom sports tattoos above the left eye and on the right cheek, proving that bad decisions aren't limited to their choice of career.
Wactor, 37, met his untimely end in downtown L.A. on May 25th while leaving Level 8, a trendy bar where he bartended with coworker Anita Joy. Mistaking a catalytic converter heist for an impromptu car tow, Wactor approached the group, only to be shot in the stomach for his trouble.
In an emotional Instagram post, Joy recounted the tragic event, emphasizing Wactor's heroic act of shielding her. "My heart is shattered with his loss, but I believe I have gained the best guardian angel out there," she wrote, affectionately referring to him as Johnny Wacky.
Wactor's family has since shared memories and demanded justice for their brave loved one. His mother, Scarlett, poignantly remarked to NBC News, "I use the word hero. I'm thankful that Joy is OK — and that when he died, he wasn't alone."
Friends and family took to the streets of downtown L.A. in June, marching for justice and answers.
