Pax Jolie-Pitt’s Wild Ride: When Electric Bikes and Rush Hour Collide

In what sounds like a scene straight out of an action movie, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, had a hair-raising experience on Monday. The 20-year-old was zooming down Los Feliz Blvd. during rush hour when he decided to turn his electric bicycle into a bumper car — literally.
As Pax approached a red light, he rammed into the back of a car stopped at the intersection. To add to the drama, Pax wasn’t wearing a helmet, because who needs those pesky safety devices anyway?
The car’s driver, understandably startled, got out to check on Pax. Soon enough, police and paramedics swarmed the scene like it was the latest Hollywood blockbuster premiere. Witnesses reported that Pax was in hip pain and seemed to have a head injury, so he was whisked off to an L.A. hospital, sirens blaring and all.
There were initial fears that Pax might have a minor brain bleed, but the latest update is that he’s stable and might even be home in time to catch up on his Netflix queue tonight.
California’s helmet laws are about as clear as mud, varying by bicycle class. While it’s uncertain if Pax needed one for his electric ride, one thing’s for sure: a helmet would’ve been the MVP of this particular plot twist.
So, the lesson of the day? Even in Hollywood, safety first — unless you want your next adventure to involve flashing lights and hospital beds.
