Zac Efron, the 36-year-old actor best known for making hearts flutter in "High School Musical," took an unexpected plunge during a trip to Ibiza. On Friday, August 2, while enjoying an early morning swim with friends at his villa's pool, a miscalculated dive led Efron to collide with the pool's bottom, resulting in him ingesting a significant amount of water.

Immediate assistance came from two vigilant onsite security personnel who noticed Efron's distress and helped him out of the pool. As a precaution, he was whisked away to a local hospital where x-rays fortunately showed no lingering water in his lungs. Though cleared for release within a few hours, Efron opted to stay a bit longer to dodge the paparazzi swarm that had descended upon the hospital upon hearing the news.

By Saturday morning, his rep confirmed his release. Proving that a little water couldn't keep him down, Efron took to Instagram on Sunday, August 4, sharing a shirtless workout photo where he’s seen lifting weights while lounging on a pink exercise ball. Captioning the snap with "Happy and healthy. Thanks for the well wishes," he reassured fans of his swift recovery.

Adding to the evidence of his rebound, friend Caleb Davidge shared a selfie with Efron the same day, geotagged in Ibiza, complete with two weightlifter emojis. Wrapping up his Ibiza escapade, Efron enjoyed a Sunday night dinner before jetting back to the U.S. on Monday, August 5.
