Royal Wallets and Woes: Prince William's Paycheck Revealed Amid Family Drama

The Duchy of Cornwall's latest Integrated Annual Report dropped a bombshell on Wednesday, revealing that Prince William, aka the Duke of Cornwall, raked in a cool $30.4 million (£23.6 million) for the 2023-2024 financial year. This hefty sum covers everything from royal diaper duty to charitable causes, ensuring that William, Kate Middleton, and their royal rugrats—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—can continue their posh lifestyle without a hitch.
William scored this lucrative title and its accompanying estate from King Charles III, who moved up to the big chair in 2022. Along with his fancy new title, William also inherited the role of Patron of the Football Association (FA), a job he takes so seriously he even traveled to Berlin to watch England play Spain in the Euro 2024 final. Tagging along was little Prince George, possibly scouting his future football team.
Last year's profits for the Duchy of Cornwall were nearly $29 million, but Prince William only got a slice of that royal pie. Now, with his new title, he's cashing in on the full pastry.
But it's not all gold and glitter for the royals in 2024. Buckingham Palace dropped a double whammy: King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer in February after a routine procedure. The King, ever the trooper, is handling state business and official paperwork while undergoing regular treatments. Charles remains optimistic and grateful for his medical team, hoping his transparency will help others facing similar battles.
Not to be outdone in the stiff-upper-lip department, Kate Middleton also revealed her own cancer diagnosis in a heartfelt video message. Following an abdominal surgery that initially seemed non-cancerous, further tests showed otherwise. Now, she's on a chemotherapy regimen and focusing on her recovery while reassuring the young royals that Mum's going to be just fine.
