Camila Cabello Hits a Sour Note: Latest Album Fails to Crack Top 10

Camila Cabello's latest album, "C,XOXO", just debuted on the Billboard charts, but the singer might not be popping any champagne. Despite the love from her loyal fans, the album has failed to resonate beyond her dedicated following, marking a new career low.

"C,XOXO" enters the Billboard 200 at a less-than-stellar No. 13. This is Cabello’s first album not to crack the top 10, a stark contrast to her earlier successes.

The downward trend has been clear: Cabello's solo career kicked off with a bang in 2018 when her self-titled debut album "Camila" hit No. 1. Her sophomore effort "Romance" peaked at No. 3 in 2019, and her third album "Familia" barely made it to No. 10 in 2022.

Even Fifth Harmony, the girl group that launched Cabello to fame, never missed the top 10 with any of their albums. Now, Cabello's latest effort has moved just under 35,600 equivalent units in its first week, with sales and streaming activity split evenly.

To add salt to the wound, "C,XOXO" is only the second-highest debut on the Billboard 200 this week, trailing behind Megan Thee Stallion's "Megan" at No. 3. Meanwhile, Zach Bryan's "The Great American Bar Scene" debuts at No. 17, despite only having one day of sales and streams to count.

The singles from "C,XOXO" haven’t fared much better. "I Luv It" with Playboi Carti peaked at a disappointing No. 81 on the Hot 100, and "He Knows" with Lil Nas X didn’t chart at all. Cabello's latest single, "Hot Uptown" featuring Drake, has made a slightly better impression, debuting at No. 62.

It looks like Cabello's "C,XOXO" might be more of a "See ya, XO" from the top of the charts this time around.
