Bill Maher Predicts Taylor Swift Will Be Dumped: ‘Cue the Breakup Album!’

Bill Maher, never one to shy away from controversy, has set his sights on Taylor Swift’s relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce. In the latest episode of his “Club Random” podcast, Maher, 68, boldly predicted that the romance between Swift, 34, and Kelce, 34, is destined for the scrap heap.
“I’m sure she’s lovely, but the whole football player thing? Come on,” Maher scoffed. “At 35, it’s a bit much to be wearing his jersey like a high school cheerleader. I mean, really.”
Swift has been a fixture at Kansas City Chiefs games, cheering on Kelce through the NFL season and even celebrating their Super Bowl win. While many see her support as sweet, Maher likened it to the inevitability of getting doused in Gatorade after the big game: “You know you’re gonna get dumped, you just don’t know when.”
Defending Swift, podcast guest Hailey Welch, a.k.a. “Hawk Tuah Girl,” argued that Swift should do whatever makes her happy. She also predicted a stellar breakup album if things go south. “It won’t be ‘f – – k John Mayer’ anymore; it’ll be ‘f – – k Travis.’”
Maher wondered if Swift still sings about her exes, learning that she’s been performing her old hits on her Eras Tour. “Very tacky,” he declared. “At some point, maybe she should write a song called ‘Maybe It’s Me.’”
Despite his digs, Maher admitted he admires Swift, comparing her success to legends like The Beatles, Sinatra, and Elvis. Swift, for her part, has been open about her relationship with Kelce, stating they’re proud of each other and not hiding their romance like she did with ex Joe Alwyn.
Kelce, meanwhile, isn’t fazed by the public scrutiny of dating a megastar. “I’m not running away from any of it,” he told WSJ Magazine, adding that he’s focused on enjoying life with Swift and not acting “all strange” under the paparazzi’s gaze.
As for a proposal? Kelce has no plans to pop the question just yet, with an insider saying marriage isn’t on his radar and he’s taking things slow. In the meantime, we’ll all be on the edge of our seats for the next chapter in this star-studded saga—cue the music, Taylor!
