Kathy Hilton had to break out her best calming techniques after her half-sister Kyle Richards discovered that her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, was caught kissing another woman.
"Seeing it was a tough pill to swallow," the socialite told Page Six at Sutton Stracke’s Sutton Green Label fashion show in Los Angeles. “So what I’m trying to do is just calm her down a little bit. ‘You know this was bound to happen. You’ve been separated.'”
Hilton, 65, reminded Richards, 55, that she had frequently mentioned on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” that Umansky, 54, could “do what he wants to do” while they were separated. But when the other woman was identified as model and actress Nikita Kahn, who “ran up and kissed him” at Mykonos Airport last week, it was still a bitter pill for Richards to swallow.
Kathy, like a wise sage, told Page Six she knew something like this was “eventually going to happen” but admitted it still hurt to witness.
The viral photos seemed to hit Richards hard, prompting her to remove “wife” from her Instagram bio faster than a tabloid can spread rumors. Now her bio reads, “Mom, actor, author, producer, animal lover, a RHOBH, CAA.”
She had already dropped “Umansky” from her Instagram back in early May, nearly a year after announcing their split following 27 years of marriage.
While the “Buying Beverly Hills” star has been seen partying with various women over the past year, Richards has been getting cozy with country music singer Morgan Wade. This new friendship has sparked intense romance rumors, but Richards insists they are just friends, probably leaving fans to wonder if this is just another plot twist in the Beverly Hills saga.
